The theme of Bihar Diwas 2023 is “ Yuva Shakti ki Pragati” which translates to “Progress through Youth Power.” It reflects the government’s focus on the development and empowerment of the youth in Bihar. The youth of Bihar holds immense potential in shaping the state’s future, and the government has launched several schemes and initiatives to harness their energy and talent.
The government of Bihar believes that youth empowerment is essential for the overall development of the state. By investing in the youth, the government aims to create a skilled and productive workforce that can contribute to the state’s growth and development.
The theme of “Yuva Shakti ki Pragati” also reflects the importance of youth participation in the democratic process. The youth of Bihar can play a significant role in shaping the state’s political landscape by engaging in political processes and raising their voices on issues that affect them.
The three-day function will be organised in Patna’s Gandhi Maidan, SK Memorial Hall, Rabindra Bhavan and Bihar Museum from March 22-24. The nodal department is the Education Department which is being supported by the Rural Development Department of Art, Culture and Social Welfare. A series of programmes, including exhibitions, food stalls of Bihari cuisine, free cinema shows, and cultural and classical programmes, are lined up during the three-day festival. Renowned playback singer Javed Ali enthrals the audience with his soulful melodies at Gandhi Maidan on the first day. On the same day, a ‘Kavi Sammelan’ by Shambhui Shekkar and his team will be organized at Rabindra Bhawan.
On March 23, folk singer Maithili and famous rock band ‘Indian Ocean’ will perform at Gandhi Maidan, while a ‘ Mushaira’ programme by Qasim Khhurseed and his team will take place at Rabindra Bhawan.
On a concluding day, Indian singers Aishwarya Nigam and Deepali Sahay will perform at Gandhi Maidan while ‘the rhythm of the Bihar musical event will also take place at the same venue.
After a gap of several years, Bihar Diwas will also be celebrated in the US and Japan from March 22-24. Preparations are done to organise it by the Bihar Foundation in collaboration with the consulate general of India. A large number of non-resident Biharis (NRBs) are taking extra interest in organising this day with great enthusiasm.
A three-day festival of words and performances is slated to begin on March 17 at Bihar Museum where a galaxy of artists, writers, authors and singers will assemble to showcase their respective art.
