Heatwave affecting Animals

As the summer arrives we are extremely excited that we are about to eat various types of fruits like mango, watermelon, etc, and spend the whole summer enjoying the air conditioning. But what about animals and birds in this scorching hot summer? How they will suffer and how they will deal with this extremely hot weather. Even they are more delicate than us. Every surrounding living organism is a blessing to our lives so as responsible human beings we have to take care of these precious lives.

For the last couple of months, we are already troubled with scorching heat and humidity. Recently India has recorded temperatures like 45 degrees to 48 degrees of temperature. Lack of water and food and not having access to proper shelter makes these animals exhausted and they died. As per Reuter's reports, Animal rescuers in India's western state of Gujarat have been picking up scores of dehydrated and exhausted birds falling from the sky every day.

Reuters also reported that doctors from an animal hospital managed by non-profit Jivdaya Charitable Trust in Ahmedabad mentioned how they have been treating and taking care of thousands of birds, like pigeons and kites, and sparrows, brought by animal rescuers every day in the last couple of weeks.

A close associate of the trust named Manoj Bhasvar also said, sadly this year has been one of the worst in recent records. We have seen a 10% increase in the number of birds that need rescuing. Reportedly, Animal doctors are feeding multi-vitamin tablets and injecting water into birds through syringes. Gujarat health officials now taking good care of these rescuing birds and animals.
