The platform aims to create new opportunities, curb digital monopolies, and by supporting micro, small and medium enterprises, and small traders. These new E-commerce features help and easily get on online platforms. It is an initiative of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIT) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Unlike E-commerce mobile applications that decide who is the best seller for any consumer. This new app ONDC allows users to select the default setting that has been programmed by giant retail businesses and marketing companies like the big basket, Flipkart, Amazon, and others. If you are interested in purchasing food like biscuits vegetables or fruits, the seller who is nearest to your location will come up in front of your mobile and show you. Consumers can change the default settings and get the best discount available by the E- marketing companies. This will be based on the best offer provided by the stores even if it is far away.
This app can be tagged to any payment application like Paytm, Google Pay, and net banking which is very easy to use in today's advanced society.
