The final list of cricketers who will go under the hammer at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction is finally out with a total of 590 players up for grabs. The two-day mega auction will take place in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13.

This will be the 15th season of the IPL and some of the biggest stars of world cricket will be coming together to light up the prestigious tournament. Amongst 590 players who have registered for the auction, 228 are capped players, 355 are uncapped players and 7 belong to Associate Nations.

Season fifteen of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has started to ring bells as the process of player retentions for the IPL 2022 has just been completed. All the eight existing IPL teams picked their top players who will remain with the side for a few more years and released the rest of the squad. The IPL 2022 Mega Auction is just a few months from now and the franchises have already begun preparations for that.

The two new teams have been added to the existing pool of eight franchises and the mega auction IPL 2022 is now inevitable. There will be a lot of shuffling of the players and some emotional moments as well for the players who have been associated with certain franchises for a long time in the past and are now released into the auction.

Meanwhile, the IPL 2022 Mega Auction will also force the franchises to change their underperforming captains while a few have already stepped down from their roles. Several franchises have already released their captains while a few captains have themselves relinquished their roles. This article will discuss the Expected Captains of all the 10 IPL teams in the IPL 2022.

The 10 IPL franchisees – Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Lucknow Super Giants, and Team Ahmedabad will also be bidding to have some of the biggest cricketing names from Faf du Plessis, David Warner, Pat Cummins, Kagiso Rabada, Trent Boult, Quinton de Kock, Jonny Bairstow, Jason Holder, Dwayne Bravo, Shakib Al Hasan to Wanindu Hasaranga in their squad.

The IPL has always been a tournament where talent and opportunity coexist and India’s U19 stars such as Yash Dhull, Vicky Ostwal, Rajvardhan Hangargekar, and some of the talked-about Indian cricketers such as Devdutt Padikkal, Harshal Patel, Krunal Pandya, Shahrukh Khan, Deepak Hooda, Avesh Khan, etc. will be looking to cash in and make their mark during the auction and then, in the competition.

A total of 370 Indian players and 220 overseas players will be up for grabs in what promises to be an action-packed IPL 2022 Player Auction in Bengaluru.
