UP Accident
Recently, a road accident took place in Kanpur, UP. At least six people died and 12 others were injured after the accident. The incident occurred near the Tat Mill crossroad. The speeding bus lost control and hit several vehicles and bystanders. Three cars and many bikes have been destroyed by the bus in the accident. The bus then ran through a traffic booth and came to a halt after hitting a truck. Local police have initiated a probe into the matter. The driver of the bus is on the run, we are looking for him, said Pramod Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, East Kanpur. The police said that a group of 15 people were at the site where the accident took place. According to the police, three of the victims have been identified. Commenting on the accident, the DCP said, "Injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital and the probe in the matter has been initiated." Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over the accident today and expressed solidarity with the families of those killed. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath too expressed grief over the incident. Congress leaders Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Rahul Gandhi too condoled the demise of those who lost their lives in the Kanpur bus accident. The Congress MP from Wayanad appealed to all Congress workers to help in every possible way. "Received unfortunate news of a road accident in Kanpur. My deepest condolences to the families of the deceased. I pray to God for the speedy recovery of the injured in the accident," Priyanka tweeted in Hindi.
