Each One, Teach One

Each One, Teach One

India is a big country and its population is about 130 millions. But it is a pity that even after more than 70 years of Independence over 30% of its population is completely illiterate. In India more illiteracy is in villages.

Recently, a campaign was started named ‘Each One, Teach One’. It aims at creating opportunities for underprivileged children in India. In this campaign mostly the school and college students are taking part.It is our social and moral responsibility to provide education to our brothers and sisters who are not lucky enough to achieve the benefits of education. It is said that students are more enthusiastic and can become a very potent force to provide our countrymen the benefits of education.

Today, the need of the hour is ‘Each One, Teach One’, that is each student should teach at least one person. In this way we can help our country to get rid of illiteracy and move faster towards development.

Need for the Concept Each One Teach One:

Education is like a flame of fire that needs just a medium to be spread, a small spark can ignite a whole flame. Even in this 21st century also, there are millions of people in our country who are still unaware of the world of knowledge.

Advantages of the Concept Each One Teach One:

Each one, teach one is a concept that brings with it a lot of mental satisfaction if you are involved in teaching someone or even if you are promoting the concept of spreading awareness. Some advantages are:

  • Help your housemaid, watchman, garbage collector, a vegetable vendor and those underprivileged people to learn; read and write, and these people help make your life better and easier.

  • You can also offer to teach others or bring people who want to learn. You can motivate some others who have the skills to do this but just need a boost.

  • You can also contribute materials or space for teaching which also gives a great sense of satisfaction towards a noble cause.
